Key Findings

The research finds that homeowners pay more to reside in a TND and that this premium is statistically significant for each of the three new urbanist communities: Kentlands (14.9%), Laguna West (4.1%), and Southern Village (10.3%). Results of a decomposition analysis confirm that consumers pay a price premium to reside in a new urbanist community.
