Case Studies and Applied Research in Housing & Urbanism
The Housing & Community Regeneration Initiative has ongoing studies in three states: Indiana, Michigan, and Illinois. The growing list of case study locations includes Elkhart, Gary, La Porte, Mishawaka, and South Bend, Indiana; Kalamazoo, Michigan; and Chicago, Illinois.
The findings from the studies developed with these municipalities and nonprofits form the foundation for a new body of research that seeks to offer solutions to overcome a legacy of disinvestment and the loss of a culture of generating productive growth.
